Why use ChargeAutomation with Cloudbeds?

  • You can automate payment collection from your guests for reservations, deposits, taxes, cleaning fees etc.

  • You can also do credit card validation

  • You can automate refunds to guests according to your cancellations and refund policy.

  • You can upsell guests during online check-in, for example meals, extra guests fees, extra beds, early check ins, insurance, activities, etc.

  • Create payment links to collect money & share via email, whatsapp, sms or chat

Setting up your ChargeAutomation with Cloudbeds

  1. Login to your ChargeAutomation account here chargeautomation.com

  2. Connect your payment gateway (for example Stripe, etc) and choose if you want to turn on "Chargeback Protection" feature then click continue.

  3. On PMS step, choose Cloudbeds from the PMS list

    1. Click on "Connect to Cloudbeds" button. You will be redirected to the Cloudbeds page to complete your authentication.

    2. Enter your Cloudbeds credentials and click Next

      โ€‹IMPORTANT NOTES:

      1. We support both organization (group) owner/admin users and property-level users from Cloudbeds.

      2. If your Cloudbeds account manages multiple properties but they are not grouped under an "organization", you'll only be able to connect a single property to ChargeAutomation per account

        1. To enable one-click connection for all properties at once, please contact Cloudbeds Support and request that your properties be grouped into an organization.

        2. This setup is required to streamline the integration process with our system.

      3. To allow ChargeAutomation to access all your properties, please log in using your organization (group) owner/admin user account.

      4. If your owner/admin account has multiple roles (e.g., Property Owner and Organization Owner), make sure to select the Organization Owner role, as shown in the image below.

    3. After clicking Next, ensure all permission checkboxes are checked and click on Allow Access

    4. Click "Continue" button to complete the other steps in ChargeAutomation.

How to send a pre check-in link from Cloudbeds

Each reservation has a unique ChargeAutomation pre checkin link. To use this link in your automated messaging from Cloudbeds, please follow the steps in the video below

Continue below steps within ChargeAutomation

  1. Now you can continue and customize your guest experience & payment rules per Booking Channel & per Property. Last step is to activate your properties and you're done.

  2. The rules will apply to new reservations after you go live. You can also manually share the same rules to existing reservations if you choose to.
