Connect your Escapia account with ChargeAutomation

We are happy to announce that ChargeAutomation is integrated with Escapia .

ChargeAutomation is a FREE online check-in tool used to collect Guest ID, selfie, document, custom questions, e-signature & guidebook.

Another powerful feature of ChargeAutomation is the ability to collect security deposit, reservation payment and Upsell during pre-check-in.

When you connect Escapia and ChargeAutomation accounts, booking data will sync automatically, you can then send online check-in link to your guests.

Setting up your ChargeAutomation with Escapia

  1. Login to your ChargeAutomation account here chargeautomation.com

  2. Connect your payment gateway (for example Stripe, etc) and choose if you want to turn on "Chargeback Protection" feature then click continue.

  3. On PMS step, choose Escapia from the PMS list.


    How to Connect your ChargeAutomation Account to Escapia

  1. Request a ChargeAutomation partner connection

    1. Navigate to the Escapia contact page. Under category select: Setup and then choose email.

      Fill in your account name and info and paste the following text into the correct field

    2. Subject: Partner Connection for ChargeAutomation via HSAPI and add ChargeAutomation to ENET.

    3. Text: Please connect the partner ChargeAutomation via HSAPI to my account. Please add ChargeAutomation as a network partner in EscapiaNet. My ChargeAutomation Contact is Support Team: [email protected]

  2. Enable ChargeAutomation and set permissions

    1. Once your request has been completed by HomeAway (24-48 hours), log into your Escapia dashboard and add ChargeAutomation as a partner, then give the necessary permissions.

    2. Navigate to the VRBO Partner Page:

    3. Click on "VRBO Software Partner"

    4. Locate ChargeAutomation, and then click Manage Partner.

    5. When the Edit Permissions page loads, do the below actions:

      1. Select the checkboxes for "Enable Partner"

      2. Select the checkboxes for "Can Access Unit Addresses" and "Can Access Unit Door Codes"

    6. Enable the following methods:

      • ListUnitTypes

      • SearchUnitSummaries

      • SearchReservationSummaries

      • GetReservationChanges

      • GetUnitById

      • GetReservationById

      • UpdateReservation

      • UpdateReservationMetadata

      • ListMarketingCategories

      • listMarketingCategories

      • GetGuestById

      • GetCompanyInfo

    7. Click Save.

3. Choose properties to include in the ChargeAutomation through EscapiaNET

1. In Escapia navigate to: Admin >Setup >EscapiaNET > Join Escapia NET. You may
have to agree to the terms and conditions at this point.

2. Go to Admin > Setup > EscapiaNET > Network Partners to display the Network

Partners page. Make sure the check box to the left of ChargeAutomation is selected.

3. Click Admin > Setup > EscapiaNET > Unit Distribution to display the Unit

Distribution page.

4. Find ChargeAutomation in the List and choose “Unit Distribution”. In the unit list,

you can click + icon to the left of the Unit Code to expand the unit’s available

partners.

5. Choose ChargeAutomation for each property you would like to include in the feed.

4. Once you have completed the steps above, you will need to enter your Escapia PMCID into the pms-connect page of your ChargeAutomation account The PMCID is your property management company ID in Escapia. select the default currency and click "Continue" button for a successful integration.

Continue below steps within ChargeAutomation

  1. Now you can continue and customize your guest experience & payment rules per Booking Channel & per Property. Last step is to activate your properties and you're done.

  2. The rules will apply to new reservations after you go live. You can also manually share the same rules to existing reservations if you choose to.
