ChargeAutomation now supports processing payments for bookings in the “Reserved” status from Guesty. These are typically direct bookings made outside OTAs. This feature ensures your direct bookings are automatically charged and properly updated in Guesty once payments are processed.

🔄 How It Works:

  1. Fetching Reserved Bookings from Guesty:
ChargeAutomation automatically fetches bookings that are in the “Reserved” status from your Guesty account. These are typically bookings that require manual payment collection or confirmation.

  2. Processing Payments:
Once the booking is fetched, ChargeAutomation initiates the payment collection process based on your configured payment rules. This may include:

    • Full payment at booking

    • Partial deposit and balance later

    • Scheduled installments

  3. Pushing Transaction(s) to Guesty:
After a payment is successfully processed, ChargeAutomation pushes the transaction details back to Guesty. This ensures all payment records are synced and visible within your Guesty dashboard.

  4. Updating Reservation Status:
Once at least one payment is successfully completed (whether full or partial), ChargeAutomation will automatically update the booking status from “Reserved” to “Confirmed” in Guesty.

✅ Benefits:

  • Automates payment collection for direct bookings

  • Keeps reservation and payment status up to date in Guesty

  • Helps streamline guest experience and internal operations

  • Supports flexible payment rules (deposit, installments, etc.)

📝 Note:

  • Make sure your payment gateway is connected in ChargeAutomation for this to work. Click here to connect your payment gateway

  • Ensure your payment rules are configured for direct bookings under Booking Sources settings.

  • This feature only applies to bookings in the “Reserved” status.
