By default, a Property will use the default Deposit amount you set in the main setting if there is no Custom Setting for the specific property. In ChargeAutomation, property-specific settings take precedence over global settings. Custom rules for a property will override global rules, providing tailored configurations for individual properties.

ChargeAutomation provides flexibility in how payment and other settings are managed for properties, allowing users to balance between global rules and property-specific customizations. Property-specific rules can be customized without impacting global rules.

2. Expand the Property and select Custom Settings for Payment Rules Settings.

3. Select Yes, Custom Settings!

4. Click on Set Payment Rules and put your Security or Damage Deposit amount per Booking Source and Reservation Payment then Save.

By default, all properties adhere to the global payment rules in ChargeAutomation. However, property-specific settings can be implemented as needed to address unique requirements. Regularly monitor settings to ensure they align with business practices and update them when necessary.

Do property-specific rules always override global rules? Yes, once configured, property-specific rules will take precedence over global rules for that property.

Can I copy settings between properties? Yes, property-specific settings such as auto payments can be replicated to other properties to save setup time.

What happens by default if no property-specific settings are applied? In the absence of property-specific configurations, global rules will automatically apply to all properties.

How to Copy Auto Payment Settings from One Property to Another Property Click on Copy Settings To in the Auto Payment Section and search for the property name. For example, if specific configurations such as payment holds or thresholds are set for a property, these can be efficiently duplicated to manage similar properties, saving both time and effort.
