Previously, the security deposit release timing was fixed. Now, you decide how long to hold the deposit after checkout β€” whether it’s immediately, after 1 day, or up to several days.

With this added control, property managers can:

  1. Go to your ChargeAutomation auto payment settings.

  2. Navigate to Security Deposit Settings on any Booking source you want to edit.

  3. Click on Additional rules and then Automatic Release

  4. Choose how many days after checkout you’d like the deposit to be released (e.g., 1, 3, 7 days).

  5. Click Save β€” your changes will apply automatically to future reservations.
