Upsell Marketplace Page (Direct Guest Access to Add-Ons)

We’ve introduced a new Upsell Standalone Page that allows guests to purchase add-ons for their reservation — even if they have not completed online check-in.

This gives property managers more flexibility in promoting upsells via email, SMS, QR code, or third-party messaging tools.


What Is the Upsell Standalone Page?

The Upsell Standalone Page is a dedicated link (or QR code) where guests can:

  • Enter their Booking ID

  • Enter their First Name

  • Instantly view and purchase available add-ons for their reservation

You can retrieve the Upsell ID by following these steps

Using a Custom Domain

If you have a custom domain configured in ChargeAutomation, you should use your domain instead of the default ChargeAutomation link.

Generic Upsell Page (Custom Domain):
https://checkin.yourdomain.com/onlinecheckin-upsell-form

Direct Link to a Specific Upsell (Custom Domain):
https://checkin.yourdomain.com/onlinecheckin-upsell-form?upsell=[UPSELL_ID]

Note: Replace checkin.yourdomain.com with your actual custom domain.


Why This Is Useful

  • Promote upsells before check-in is completed

  • Share via SMS, email, WhatsApp, or AI chat tools

  • Print as a QR code for on-site promotion

  • Give guests a simple, direct way to purchase add-ons

It removes dependency on the pre-check-in process and increases upsell conversion opportunities.


How It Works

  1. Share your Upsell Standalone link or QR code with the guest.

  2. The guest enters:

    • Booking ID

    • First Name

  3. The system validates the reservation.

  4. The guest sees all available upsells tied to their booking.

Availability rules (such as Early Check-in or Late Check-out logic) still apply.


Does Online Check-In Need to Be Completed?

No.

Guests can access and purchase upsells regardless of their online check-in status.


Best Practice Tips

  • Include the link in pre-arrival emails.

  • Send it via SMS 3–5 days before arrival.

  • Display a QR code inside the property for in-stay add-ons. See QR code below
