'Security Deposit Required' vs 'Payment Method Required' notification
'Security Deposit Required' vs 'Payment Method Required' notification

Security Deposit Required or Payment Method Required notifications are sent based on the below conditions:

  • Security Deposit Required:
    If the booking is Virtual Card (VC), Online Travel Agency collect (OTA) or Bank Transfer (BT), and Security Deposit is enabled

  • Payment Method Required:

    If the booking is Credit Card (CC) or Credit Card (CC) Validation or any other condition

If Credit Card (CC) was already added to the booking, then no matter what, neither of the notification messages will be sent even if it is scheduled. Notifications will only be sent if the Credit Card (CC) is invalid.

To customize when the notification messages are sent

  1. Go to Preferences > Template Messages.

  2. Select the message you would like to customize i.e. "Payment Method Required" or "Security Deposit Required" template

  3. Scroll down to the section just below the template:
