When the status shows as 'Awaiting Approval', it means Chargeback Protection is activated and customer is required to complete an additional verification step for payment to be successful.

This also includes scenarios involving both 'Awaiting Approval' and 'Scheduled' statuses, ensuring guests and hosts take appropriate actions for payment authentication and automated deposit collection.

2 WAYS ON HOW CUSTOMER CAN AUTHENTICATE:

Guests are also responsible for correctly following the authentication steps, as outlined in emails or pre check-in forms.

1. We send an email to the customer containing a button labeled 'Authenticate Now'. All they need to do is click on that button and complete the authentication process. This will ensure the charge goes through smoothly.

2. On the pre check-in form, customer can cilck on 'Approve Now' and complete the authentication process.

HOW TO RE-SEND AUTHENTICATION EMAIL or LINK TO CUSTOMER?

Click on the drop-down and select 'Resend Authentication Link'.

HOW TO BYPASS 3D AUTHENTICATION and CHARGE THE AMOUNT RIGHT AWAY?

Click on the drop-down and select 'Charge Now (without 3D)' or 'Authorize Now (without 3D)'.

"Scheduled" Status Explained

The "Scheduled" status refers to an automated setup for security deposits, indicating that a collection will occur based on preconfigured auto-payment rules (e.g., 24 hours before check-in). Hosts should verify these rules while guests need no immediate action.

NOTE:

If Chargeback Protection is deactivated and the status shows as 'Awaiting Approval', it indicates that the card used for the transaction requires mandatory 3D authentication and customer is required to complete the authentication process.

This makes it crucial for guests to act on authentication requests promptly to ensure smooth payment processing.
