ChargeAutomation makes it seamless to manage upsells. This guide walks you through the setup process to ensure a smooth experience for you and your guests. With our integration, payments are pushed back to Mews folio, saving you time and ensuring accuracy.
To sync upsell purchases from ChargeAutomation to Mews, simply add a Billing Identifier to each upsell in ChargeAutomation.
The Billing Identifier is the ID of an Additional Service on Mews. Here’s is how you can get the Billing Identifier from Mews:
1. In Mews, Go to Settings > Services
2. On the services page, you should see a list of bookable and additional services. Since upsells are additional services, we will be working with only additional services in this guide. You can either choose an already created service or create a new one.
3. Once you’re done creating a service, click on it. You should see a page as follows:
Now, look into your browser’s address bar. The value Immediately after …/Detail/ in the URL is the Billing Identifier.
4. Copy the Billing Identifier and paste it in the Billing Identifier field on ChargeAutomation
Save your changes and you’re good to go.
Anytime an Upsell is purchased on ChargeAutomation, you will be able to see it on the Customer’s dashboard as follows:
Important Notes:
The price of the service in Mews must be set to 0 amount
The service will not show on the main billing page, only on the Guest Profile in the Folio
