ChargeAutomation supports a wide range of global payment methods, making it easier to collect payments and improve payment success rates directly within the guest’s pre-check-in and guest portal experience.

In addition to standard credit and debit cards, you can offer your guests popular alternative and regional payment methods:

SEPA: Standardized euro bank transfers across 36 European countries.

iDEAL: A popular payment method in the Netherlands.

Giropay: A widely used payment method in Germany.

Pix: Instant payments popular in Brazil.

ACH Payments: Direct bank transfers in the US.

Open Banking: Secure bank-to-bank payments across the EU.

Log in to your <a href="https://dashboard.stripe.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Stripe Dashboard</a>

Go to <a href="https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Settings → Payment Methods</a>

Enable the payment methods you’d like to offer (e.g., Klarna, iDEAL, SEPA, etc.).

Make sure your ChargeAutomation integration is updated to the latest version.

1. Log in to your <a href="https://dashboard.stripe.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Stripe Dashboard</a>
2. Go to <a href="https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Settings → Payment Methods</a>
3. Enable the payment methods you’d like to offer (e.g., Klarna, iDEAL, SEPA, etc.).
4. Make sure your ChargeAutomation integration is updated to the latest version.

Updating Stripe App Permissions for ChargeAutomation

To support the full range of payment methods, you may need to update your Stripe app permissions.

Find ChargeAutomation under Connect Extensions.

Click Update and accept the new permissions.

1. Go to your Stripe App Settings.
2. Find ChargeAutomation under Connect Extensions.
3. Click Update and accept the new permissions.
4. Complete the installation.

The updated ChargeAutomation app will then open in the right-hand drawer.

Note: Some payment methods, such as bank transfers, are available only for direct charges and do not support payment authorizations.

For Pro and Enterprise plans, you can also manually Mark as Paid or bypass mandatory upsells when payments are collected externally, such as through the Airbnb Resolution Center.
